Monthly Meetings

Our Monthly Meetings, which take place on the first Monday of each month, are held at Callington Town Hall., New Road, PL17 7BD, which has full disabled access and public Wifi. Arriving at 10.00 for the Meeting start at 10.30 allows for a good old natter with friends over a cup of tea or coffee, (a nominal fee of 50p), a browse of the Book and Video Table, or the various Group Notice Boards before the meeting begins at 10.30.

In the last twelve months or so, we have had presentations on topics as diverse as Cornwall Air Ambulance, Devon and Cornwall Blood Bikes, BBC Sewing Bee Semi Finalist, Black Dog Honey Bees, Uranium Glass, and obviously of real interest to u3a members of a certain age, Life in the 1950s.
If you are new to Callington u3a and are attending a monthly meeting for the first time, look out for one of our yellow sash "Meet and Greet" members, who will welcome you, and explain what our u3a is all about. Have a coffee together and you could have a look at our Group Notice Boards,. These give details about all of the Group activities which are part of Callington u3a,. Then perhaps go on to be introduced to a member of our u3a and sit and chat together before the Chair's Branch Notices and the month's Guest Speaker Presentation.
